TM: Morning Me

master_obiwanEveryone believes knows that I, Obi-Wan Kenobi, get up before dawn to head down to the arena to lead the morning meditations and exercises.
All Jedi have their own routines in the morning, and privacy is respected throughout the temple, but some of us enjoy being together in those first moments of the day, when everything is fresh and crisp. Some of the nocturnal Jedi join us as well, as these activities are a part of their before-bed routines.
It's enjoyable and a fantastic start to a new day.

Is no one listening? Whew.
Okay. Now that I've got that out of the way...
Yes, sure, I lead the meditations and exercises. But afterwards I head to this little niche in the meditation gardens and sleep an extra couple of hours.
I know I come off as the type that enjoys being up at the crack of dawn, but seriously? I like sleep. I really do. It's one of the things I miss most on missions, so I hoard it whenever I get the chance.
I would love nothing better than to sleep in the way Anakin does but, alas!, I have a reputation to keep up. And an example to set for the younger students. It wouldn't do for Master Obi-Wan to be seen as a lazy-ass Jedi who does nothing but loaf around in bed all morning.
Nope. Not gonna happen. So I kill myself with the getting up and catch up as much as I can afterwards.
So now you know.
