I thought I would kill two questions with one answer, seeing as how they are kind of related.
I do believe in love at first sight. I think it is completely possible to see someone once and absolutely know, with every fibre of your being, that he or she is The One. There were a couple of people in the past that I had thought I had experienced this with, however looking back it was more lust at first sight rather than love.
Love is a tricky emotion, especially for a Jedi. It can either be a blessing or a curse and that scares me. I couldn't imagine being so consumed with someone that they would supersede everything. That's when love can be dangerous, since it really, really clouds your judgement.
But love, when placed within the proper boundaries, can be a wonderful and beautiful thing. It's a shame that I, as a Jedi, am not technically allowed to form attachments, since I think that being in love would be an amazing thing to experience. My only chance would be with a fellow Jedi, as only a Jedi would be able to understand the stresses and commitments that would have to come before love.
Jedi first, lovers second, as it were.
If I weren't a Jedi, which is hard to imagine really, my "happily ever after" would consist of someone whom I loved above all others, a quiet existence living in the country of a planet far, far away from Coruscant with a child or two. I'd be a carpenter, maybe. I think my closest friends would laugh if I said I would even ponder being a farmer.
However, I am a Jedi, so my "happily ever after" will have to consist of helping preserve the peace and happiness of those that we protect, as well as bettering the galaxy in anyway we can. All this strife would cease to be and we could all get along just nicely.
